APPSC Notification Released
The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) is all set to issue notifications for around 1,200 posts tomorrow, comprising 99 Group-I, 38 Group-II, 927 Group-IV and 217 Motor Vehicle Inspector posts.
Announcing this, APPSC Chairman Y Venkatrami Reddy said: ``The exams for the posts would be conducted in a phased manner. This process might take some time, depending on the availability of the centers and workforce.’’ However, he did not disclose the dates of the examinations for any of the posts.
The Group-I results, which are due as the case is subjudice, are likely to be announced in the third week of January, he said.
Meanwhile, the results for the main examination of Group-II for 599 executive and non-executive posts were released here today.
Out of the 6,25128 candidates who have applied, 4,10,764 appeared for the exam. Out of this, 1,198 candidates were selected for 599 Group-II posts.
Explaining the process of selection in the interview level, Reddy said: ``There would be five boards, which would interview the candidates.
Each board comprises two APPSC members along with one Government nominee and a subject expert designated by the APPSC.’’ The APPSC chairman and other officials appealed to the students not to approach anyone for favours in interview, as the posts would be filled on purely merit basis.
